The Town of Orland was incorporated in 1800, formerly known as "Plantation #2" on the east side of the Penobscot River.
As of the year 2020, the population was 2,221 people.
Orland River Day September 12th, 2026: It's that time of year again! Time to start planning and looking forward to Orland River Day 2026! We had such a fantastic turn out last year and hope to see everyone back for this years event. There will be events taking place along Narramissic Drive and up to the Orland Community Center. We are always looking for vendors and food trucks to take part in the festival.
