Orland Luminary Ceremony: Brighten up Orland’s shortest days with a little candle and community cheer on Saturday December 20th. Put a luminary in your yard, in front of your house, or help others place luminaries throughout the Village and along Castine Road starting at 2:15pm on Saturday December 20th at the Old Fire Station located at 91 School House Road Orland. Dress warmly, wear bright visible clothing and bring seasonal/solstice cheer. Snacks afterwards at a location to be determined. The Orland Transfer Station will begin issuing non-resident Transfer Station stickers on an index card to non-tax paying non-Orland residents and short term renters staying in Orland so they may utilize the Transfer Station upon providing a tax bill for the property where they are staying, and will be charged $2.00 per bag, no demo allowed. This Policy will be effective July 1, 2023.
