Orland Luminary Ceremony: Brighten up Orland’s shortest days with a little candle and community cheer on Saturday December 20th. Put a luminary in your yard, in front of your house, or help others place luminaries throughout the Village and along Castine Road starting at 2:15pm on Saturday December 20th at the Old Fire Station located at 91 School House Road Orland. Dress warmly, wear bright visible clothing and bring seasonal/solstice cheer. Snacks afterwards at a location to be determined. INFORMATION REGARDING SILVER LAKE, ALAMOOSOOK, & TODDY DAMS

We will be posting information here to keep residents informed about the request by AIM/Bucksport Mill LLC to relinquish ownership of the Silver Lake, Alamoosook, and Toddy dams. The five towns, lake associations, and other businesses/organizations potentially affected by this proposal are beginning the process of working together to mitigate any financial or environmental impact to all.
