Orland Luminary Ceremony: Brighten up Orland’s shortest days with a little candle and community cheer on Saturday December 20th. Put a luminary in your yard, in front of your house, or help others place luminaries throughout the Village and along Castine Road starting at 2:15pm on Saturday December 20th at the Old Fire Station located at 91 School House Road Orland. Dress warmly, wear bright visible clothing and bring seasonal/solstice cheer. Snacks afterwards at a location to be determined. Special Town Meeting 9/26/2024

The Town of Orland will hold a Special Town Meeting  regarding an ordinance entitled “Emergency Ordinance Establishing a Moratorium on the Transfer, Abandonment, Removal, or Unregulated Release of Impounded Waters of Dams” and appropriating $1,200 dollars of American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”) funds to be used for a handicap accessible entrance to the Orland Town Office. Meeting will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 6:00pm at the Orland Community Center, 21 School House Rd, Orland, ME 04472.
