Orland Luminary Ceremony: Brighten up Orland’s shortest days with a little candle and community cheer on Saturday December 20th. Put a luminary in your yard, in front of your house, or help others place luminaries throughout the Village and along Castine Road starting at 2:15pm on Saturday December 20th at the Old Fire Station located at 91 School House Road Orland. Dress warmly, wear bright visible clothing and bring seasonal/solstice cheer. Snacks afterwards at a location to be determined. The Town of Orland is seeking a candidate for Deputy Clerk. Duties include (but not limited to) issuing motor vehicle registrations, vital records issuance, recreational vehicle registrations, hunting/fishing licensing, collecting property and sewer payments. Candidate must have the ability to be bonded.
