Orland Luminary Ceremony: Brighten up Orland’s shortest days with a little candle and community cheer on Saturday December 20th. Put a luminary in your yard, in front of your house, or help others place luminaries throughout the Village and along Castine Road starting at 2:15pm on Saturday December 20th at the Old Fire Station located at 91 School House Road Orland. Dress warmly, wear bright visible clothing and bring seasonal/solstice cheer. Snacks afterwards at a location to be determined. Windows 11 Basic Class

A free class, WINDOWS 11 BASIC         will be held over three, 1-hour sessions on  Weds. Dec. 18, Thurs. Dec. 19 and Fri. Dec. 20, from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm at the Orland Community Center, 21 Schoolhouse Road, Orland, sponsored by the Orland Broadband Committee, the National Digital Equity Center (NDEC) and Island Institute.  This is an interactive class where you will learn how to get the most out of your Windows 11 computer. Topics will include: the operating system, navigating the desktop and taskbar, the File Explorer, working with files, using Microsoft Edge and so much more. Students should bring their Windows 11 computer to class.
