Orland Luminary Ceremony: Brighten up Orland’s shortest days with a little candle and community cheer on Saturday December 20th. Put a luminary in your yard, in front of your house, or help others place luminaries throughout the Village and along Castine Road starting at 2:15pm on Saturday December 20th at the Old Fire Station located at 91 School House Road Orland. Dress warmly, wear bright visible clothing and bring seasonal/solstice cheer. Snacks afterwards at a location to be determined. Understanding cloud Library Class

A free class, UNDERSTANDING CLOUD LIBRARY will be held on Thursday 16th at the Orland Community Center, 21 Schoolhouse Road, Orland, sponsored by the Orland Broadband Committee, the National Digital Equity Center (NDEC) and Island Institute.  Cloud Library is an online platform used by libraries in Maine as well as many other states to borrow eBooks and audiobooks. This free service allows you to choose from over 10,000 titles to view or listen to on your device. Students should bring a device connected to the internet and an active library card with a participating library.
