Orland Luminary Ceremony: Brighten up Orland’s shortest days with a little candle and community cheer on Saturday December 20th. Put a luminary in your yard, in front of your house, or help others place luminaries throughout the Village and along Castine Road starting at 2:15pm on Saturday December 20th at the Old Fire Station located at 91 School House Road Orland. Dress warmly, wear bright visible clothing and bring seasonal/solstice cheer. Snacks afterwards at a location to be determined. The Select Board is seeking nominations for candidates to serve as Trustees on the Alamoosook or Toddy Watershed District governing board in the event that the referendums to establish the districts pass on November 4th. If you would like to volunteer or would like further information, please contact [email protected] by October 14th. Final appointments will be made by the Select Board.
