Request for Public Comment: Proposed Change from "Selectmen" to "Select Board"

The Town of Orland is seeking public input regarding a proposed change to the title of the town's governing body from "Selectmen" to "Select Board."

This proposed change reflects terminology that has been adopted by many municipalities and is intended to be more inclusive while maintaining the same roles, responsibilities, and authority of the elected governing body.

The Selectmen invite residents to share their thoughts, comments, or concerns before any decision is made.
