Orland Luminary Ceremony: Brighten up Orland’s shortest days with a little candle and community cheer on Saturday December 20th. Put a luminary in your yard, in front of your house, or help others place luminaries throughout the Village and along Castine Road starting at 2:15pm on Saturday December 20th at the Old Fire Station located at 91 School House Road Orland. Dress warmly, wear bright visible clothing and bring seasonal/solstice cheer. Snacks afterwards at a location to be determined. Hancock County Planning Commissionn

The Board of Selectmen is searching for a volunteer to serve as an Orland representative to the Hancock County Planning Commission (HCPC).   HCPC guides and supports land use, planning, and development within Hancock County, Maine. They work with local towns and municipalities to ensure that development is sustainable, adheres to local and state regulations, and meets the needs of the community.  Attached is a description of the responsibilities of serving as a Commissioner.
