Keeping Your Online Accounts Safe: A free class, KEEPING YOUR ONLINE ACCOUNTS SAFE, will be held WEDNESDAY, MARCH 26TH, from 10:00 – 11:00 am, at the Orland Community Center, 21 Schoolhouse Road, Orland.  This course is sponsored by the Orland Broadband Committee and the National Digital Equity Center (NDEC). This class walks you through the process of creating an online account. Fidium Update to Town of Orland Maine
Engineering teams currently working in and around Orland
ORLAND, Maine — Feb. 23, 2025 — Fidium is preparing to bring to fiber internet service to Orland
later this year, with engineering teams currently working in and around the town.
Engineers working on behalf of Fidium will be driving each street in the town, taking notes and
inspecting the existing telecom networks in preparation for Fidium’s construction planned for
completion in the third quarter of 2025. These teams may knock on residents’ doors to gain access
to utility poles located on private property, but they are not currently selling service.
Fidium will share additional information via press announcements, town updates, mailers and/or
door hanger when construction is ready to start and when service is available. When services are
ready for sale, Fidium may employ salespeople to knock on doors. All Fidium representatives will
have proper identification.
